Audience: people registered for an event. Applies to: every event.
You've registered, but no confirmation email has arrived. Your registration is usually fine: the email is held up, went to another folder, or went to a different address.
When it happens
- Straight after registering, or after paying by card.
- After joining a waitlist, when you're expecting the waitlist email instead.
Why
- It's in your spam, junk or promotions folder. Search your mailbox for the event's name.
- Your payment is still being confirmed. A card payment's confirmation comes once the payment has gone through. If your confirmation page said Confirming your payment, give it a few minutes.
- The email address has a typo. The email went to the address you entered.
- The organiser doesn't send one for your registration. Not every event sends a confirmation email.
How to fix it
- Check your spam, junk and promotions folders, then wait a few minutes.
- Open your invitation link, if you were invited: once you've registered, it opens your registration. Otherwise, start registering on the event's registration page with the same email. On most events, when you select Continue, the page finds your registration and emails you a code. If it carries on to payment instead, stop and contact the organiser.
- Enter the code. If you came from the registration page, then select the button to view your registration, for example View or change my registration.
- Check your status and email address on Your registration.
- Select Resend my confirmation email.
If the code doesn't arrive either, the address is probably wrong, or emails from the event are being blocked. Contact the event's organiser: they can correct your email address.
Messages you might see
- "We've sent the email again to …": check your inbox in a few minutes.
- "We've just sent it. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) before asking again." Wait a few minutes before trying again.
- "We couldn't send the email just now. Please contact the organiser." The email couldn't be sent. Contact the organiser.
